Field of use

The preparation is a pain relieving, fever-lowering and anti-inflammatory drug (non-steroidal anti-phlogistics/analgesic).

Contradictions

In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the above -mentioned ingredients and:

• Hypersensitivity to other painkillers

• in the past stomach or intestinal ulcers or bloodin our

dosage

Always apply this medicine exactly according to the instruction.
Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
The maximum total daily dose of ibuprofen is 20 - 30 mg per kg body weight, spread over 3 to 4 individual doses.
That means for

• Children with 6.0 to 8.0 kg body weight: 1 suppositories at the beginning of treatment. 1 Further suppositories can only be given as far as necessary, after 6-8 hours. Do not give more than 3 suppository within 24 hours;
• Children with 8.0 to 12.5 kg body weight: 1 suppositories at the beginning of treatment. 1 Further suppositories can only be given as far as necessary, after 6 hours. Do not give more than 4 suppository within 24 hours.

The preparation is not suitable for children below 6.0 kg body weight or 3 months.
If you or your child suffer from kidney or liver dysfunction, you must ask your doctor for advice before application.
This drug should only be used for a maximum of 3 days. If your child's complaints or complaints remain or even worsen within this time, you or your child must see a doctor. Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak. Overdose: If you suspect an overdose with the medicine, please notify your doctor immediately.

Taking

If possible, the suppositories are inserted deep into the anus after the bowel movement. Warm up suppository in the hand to improve the sliding capacity or dive briefly in hot water.

  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using the preparation
    • for certain diseases of the skin (systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) or mixed collagenosis).
    • in severe skin reactions such as exfoliative dermatitis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis. At the first sign of rashes, mucosal lesions or other signs of a hypersensitivity reaction, the medicine should be discontinued immediately.
    • for certain innate disorders of blood formation (e.g. acute intermittent porphyria)
    • for blood clotting disorders.
    • if you have or had bowel diseases (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease).
    • if you ever had high blood pressure and/or a heart muscle weakness.
    • with reduced kidney function
    • for liver disorders.
    • for diseases of the rectum or anus.
    • if you suffer or suffer from asthma or allergic reactions, breath shortness of breath can occur.
    • in patients who suffer from hay fever, nasal polyps or chronic obstructive breathing diseases, since there is an increased risk of the occurrence of allergic reactions. The allergic reactions can manifest themselves as asthma attacks (so-called analgesic asthma), quincke-edema or hives.

    • when gastrointestinal bleeding, gastrointestinal ulcers or a gastrointestinal breakthrough occurs due to the use of this drug. These diseases do not necessarily have to be preceded by warning signals, or they do not have to be limited to patients in which such Ediseases have occurred. You can end fatally. If gastrointestinal bleeding or gastrointestinal ulcers occur, the treatment must be canceled immediately.
    • if you also take certain other medicines that can increase the risk of ulcers or bleeding, such as oral corticosteroids (such as prednisolone), medicines for dilution of the blood (such as warfarin), selective serotonin re-absorption inhibitors (medicines for the treatment of depression) or medicines that inhibit the tile aggregation (such as acetlysalicylic acid).
    • if you take other NSAIDs (including COX-2 inhibitors such as Celecoxib or Etoricoxib).
    • The use of the preparation during a chickenpox infection (varicella infection) should be avoided.
    • If used for a long time, regular control of the liver values, the kidney function and the blood count is required.
    • Side effects can be reduced by using the lowest effective dose via the shortest period required for symptom control.
    • older patients can suffer from side effects more often.
    • in general, the habitual use of (different types of) pain relievers can lead to permanent, heavy kidney damage. The risk is associated with salt loss and dehydration with physical stress, possibly increased and should therefore be avoided.
    • The longer use of all kinds of painkillers against headaches can make them worse. If this is the case or if this is suspected, medical advice should be obtained and treatment can be broken off. The diagnosis of headache in medication overuse (Medication Overuse Headache, MOH) should be assumed in patients who suffer from frequent or daily headaches, although (or precisely because) they regularly take medicines for headaches.
    • A simultaneous use of this preparation with other NSAIDs, including COX-2 inhibitors (cyclooxigenase-2 inhibitors), increases the risk of side effects and should therefore be avoided.
    • Medicines like this may be associated with a slightly increased risk of heart attacks ("heart attack") or strokes. Any risk is more likely with high doses and longer treatment. Do not exceed the recommended dose or treatment duration, which for children between 3 and 5 months A maximum of 24 hours and a maximum of 3 days for children from 6 months.
    • There is a risk of kidney dysfunction in dehydrated children.
    • Special medical monitoring is necessary immediately after a larger surgical procedure.
    • NSAR can mask the symptoms of infection or fever.

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • In the event of short -term application, this medicine has no or a negligible influence on the traffic and operating machines.

Pregnancy

If pregnancy is determined during an application of this drug, the doctor must be notified. In the first and second thirds of pregnancy, this medicine may only be used after consultation with the doctor. In the third third of the pregnancy, it should not be used due to an increased risk of complications for mother and child. The active ingredient ibuprofen and its dismantling products pass into breast milk in small quantities. Since adverse consequences for the infant have not yet become known, an interruption of breastfeeding will not be necessary for short -term use of the recommended dose with slight to moderately severe pain or fever.
