Field of use

• The preparation is a medicine for colds of the respiratory tract.
• For external use to improve the condition in the case of colds of airways (such as uncomplicated runny nose, hoarseness and uncomplicated bronchial catarrh).

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used,
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against one of the active ingredients or one of the other components,
  • in infants and toddlers under 2 years (Campher and Menthol can cause larynx cramp with the result of severe breathing disorders),
  • in asthma bronchial and whooping cough, as well as pseudo croup and other respiratory diseases that go hand in hand with a pronounced hypersensitivity of the respiratory tract, since inhaling can lead to the bronchial muscles' breathing,
  • for inhalation therapy for acute inflammation of the respiratory tract and in acute pneumonia,
  • for external insulation in skin and childhood diseases with rash and damaged skin, e.g. B. for burns.

dosage

• Always apply the medicine exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• External application:
  • Unless otherwise prescribed, the chest and back are rubbed well in the morning and evening with an about 1 - 4 cm long ointment strand and then covered with a cloth.
• Preparation of an inhalation:
  • In addition, ae inhalation treatment or a facial steam bath can be carried out up to 2 - 3 times a day: Add 5 - 10 cm ointment in 1 - 2 l of hot water and inhale the vapors for several minutes.
  • When inhalation, it is advisable to close or cover your eyes in order to avoid possible irritation of the conjunctiva.
  • Do not inhale children unattended because there is a risk of scalding!
• In the event of symptoms that last for more than 3 - 5 days, when breathing short, headache, for fever or purulent/bloody ejection or nasal secretion, a doctor urgently needs to be consulted.

• If you have used a larger amount than you should:
  • If used according to the external application or inhalation, overdose symptoms are not to be expected.
  • In the event of accidental intake (swallowing), nausea and vomiting generally occur as a result of the mucous membrane properties, if necessary, diarrhea.
  • Symptoms such as hunting, heat, weakness and dry mouth, diarrhea and fever have also occurred in rare cases with external use and overdose.
  • With external, large -scale application, symptoms of symptoms can occur, e.g. B. kidney damage and damage to the central nervous system (ZNS).

- In infants and toddlers up to the age of 2, the medicine should only be applied on the chest and back. In the first two years of life, there is a reflex-overlapping (Kratschmer-Reflex) in the nasal area, which excludes the application around the nose as well as the use as a facial steam bath and inhalation.
