Capstar 57 mg tablets for large dogs.

One tablet contains: Active substance: 57 mg nitenpyram.
Pharmacotherapeutic group: Other ectoparasiticides for systemic use.
Indications for use: Capstar 57 mg: Treatment of flea infestations (C. felis) in dogs.
Contraindications: None known.
Side effects: In the first hour after the administration of CAPSTAR , pets may experience increased itching. This effect is caused by the fleas reacting to the medicine. On very rare occasions, this will show as transient hyperactivity, panting, barking, and excessive grooming/licking.
Very rarely, transient neurological symptoms such as muscle tremors, ataxia and convulsions have been reported.

Capstar^® tablets for large dogs up to 57 kg – quick help with flea infestations
Fleas are one of the most common and persistent parasites in dogs and cats. Many animals will be infested by these pesky insects at least once in their lives - usually through contact with other infested animals. The insidious thing is that fleas multiply particularly quickly under optimal conditions and a real plague of fleas can develop after a short time. If a flea is discovered on the animal, this is usually just the tip of the iceberg, because after the blood meal, fleas start laying eggs. The eggs and the larvae that hatch from them are then found in the animal's environment: in the basket, under furniture or in the carpet.

Capstar^® tablets for large dogs with the active ingredient nitenpyram act directly and quickly against adult fleas on dogs. The rapid onset of action begins just 30 minutes after administration and ensures that the fleas on the dog are killed. After 6 hours almost all fleas on the dog have been killed. This can prevent adult fleas from sucking blood and laying eggs, which can then spread to the wider area.

Capstar^® is particularly easy to use: just one tablet is sufficient to treat an acute flea infestation in a large dog weighing between 11 kg and 57 kg - ideally with the food.

Capstar^® is well tolerated and can also be fed to nursing bitches. Even puppies from the 4th week and 1 kg body weight can be freed from annoying flea infestations.

Who is Capstar^® the right product for?
• if you have discovered fleas on your pet and want to act quickly before you use a long-term preparation
• if you pick up your animal from a kennel/holiday care center and want to be sure not to take any fleas home with you
• if long-term protection against flea infestations is not an option for you and you prefer tablets

Application
One Capstar^® tablet per animal is administered - optimally with the feed (before or directly after feeding). As a rule, treatment with just one tablet is sufficient for acute flea infestation. Repeat treatment may be necessary for severe flea infestations. For permanent prevention against fleas, a product with a long-term effect is recommended.
