Field of use

• The medicine is an anti -allergic/antihistamine. The active ingredient Cetirizin contained in the preparation blocks the effect of histamine. Histamine is a substance that occurs in the body tissue and can cause a running or clogged nose and eye complaints (itching, redness, tears) or skin itching.
• The medicine is used
  • to treat disease signs (symptoms) in allergic diseases such as:
    • Chronic hives (urticaria) with complaints such as Z.B. Itching, squaddling, redness of the skin
    • Chronic allergic runny nose
    • Hay fever with complaints such as sneezing, nose, nose, nose itching, nasal deflection, redness or itching of the eyes as well as tear flow.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against the active ingredient Cetirizindihydrochloride or one of the other components of the preparation
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against hydroxyzin or other piperazine derivatives (with Cetirizin tidy active ingredients of other medicines)
  • if you have a serious kidney disease (severe restriction of kidney function with creatinine clearance below 10 ml/min) or if you get a dialysis (blood wash).

dosage

• Always take the medicine exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
  • Young people aged 12 and over and adults
    • 1 times a day 2 measuring spoon juice (corresponding to 10 mg cetirizindihydrochloride).
  • Children from 2 to 11 years
    • Children from 2 to 11 years receive a dosage adapted to body weight:
      • Body weight less than 30 kg:
        • 1 measuring spoon 1 times a day (corresponding to 5 mg Cetirizindihydrochloride).
      • Body weight more than 30 kg:
        • 2 measuring spoon juice 1 times a day (corresponding to 10 mg Cetirizindihydrochloride).

• Duration of the application
  • The duration of treatment depends on the type, duration and course of the symptoms. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the drug is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should
  • If you suspect an overdose, inform a doctor so that he can decide on how to proceed. He will orientate himself to the clinical picture when treating an overdose and take appropriate countermeasures.
  • After an overdose, the side effects described below can occur with increased intensity. Possible signs of an overdose are:
    • Confusion, dizziness, fatigue, headache, restlessness, sedation, sleepiness, tremors, drowsiness
    • Diarrhea, discomfort
    • Pupil extension
    • Itching
    • accelerated heartbeat
    • Urinary preservation.

 

• If you have forgotten the intake
  • Pass the intake, as described in the dosage instructions. Do not take the double dose if you have forgotten the prior intake.

 

• If you cancel the intake
  • If your doctor has prescribed the medicine to you, you should consult your doctor before you can demolish the treatment with your doctor.

Taking

• The pack is included in a 5 ml measuring spoon.
• The juice should preferably in the evening to be taken. You can take the juice with or without food.

Patient information

• Particular caution when taking the drug is required
  • Ask your doctor before taking the preparation if one of the following conditions applies to you or if you are insecure in this regard:
    • if you have a kidney dysfunction or have suffered: In this case, your doctor will reduce your dose depending on your kidney function
    • if you suffer from epilepsy (Kramplepsisen) or have ever suffered or you tend to cramp: The application of the drug is not recommended in these cases

    • when the patient is a child under the age of 2. Infants and children under the age of two should not be treated with the medicine.

 

• Wateriness and operating machines
  • In clinical studies, Cetirizin in the recommended dose did not lead to an impairment of attention, vigilance and driving ability.
  • If you intend to participate in road traffic, work without a safe hold or to operate machines, you should not use more than the recommended dose. You should observe your reaction to the medicine carefully.
  • If you are sensitive, you may notice that the simultaneous use of alcohol or other means that dampen the central nervous system also impair your attention and your reaction.

Pregnancy
