Field of use

Octenisept wound disinfectant solution (pack size: 100 ml) is an antiseptic that is used for repeated, temporary supportive antiseptic wound treatment. Octenisept wound disinfection solution (pack size: 100 ml) is a colorless and very well tolerated spray for disinfecting and cleaning up cuts, scratches and abrasions as well as open blisters. It is easy to use and works quickly.

Active substances / ingredients / ingredients

Octenisept wound disinfection solution (pack size: 100 ml) contains:

100g solution contain: Medicinally active ingredients: 0.1g octenidine dihydrochloride, 2.0g phenoxyethanol (Ph.Eur.)

Other ingredients:
2-[(3-Kokosfettsäureamidopropyl)dimethylazaniumyl]acetate, sodium D-gluconate, glycerol 85%, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide, purified water.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients listed above, the product should not be used.

Recommendation for use of Octenisept wound disinfection solution (pack size: 100 ml):

Carefully spray the area to be treated with Octenisept wound disinfectant solution (pack size: 100 ml). The wound must be completely wetted. The minimum exposure time is one to two minutes. Wait for this period before taking any further action (e.g. applying a wound dressing). In order to achieve the desired effect, these specifications must be carefully observed. Since there is only experience with a continuous use of about 14 days, the drug should not be used for more than two weeks without medical supervision.

Hints

In order to prevent possible tissue damage, the preparation must not be introduced or injected into the tissue under pressure.

• In the case of wound cavities, drainage must be guaranteed at all times (e.g. drainage, flap).
• Octenisept wound disinfection solution (pack size: 100 ml) should not be swallowed in large quantities or allowed to enter the bloodstream, e.g. through accidental injection.
• Do not mix Octenisept wound disinfection solution (pack size: 100 ml) with other preparations
• do not use with PVP-iodine-based antiseptics on adjacent skin areas, as severe brown to violet discoloration may occur.
• Bandages and incision foils can be applied after Octenisept wound disinfection solution (pack size: 100 ml) has dried completely.
• When using Octenisept wound disinfection solution (pack size: 100 ml) , a temporary burning sensation can occur as a subjective symptom in rare cases.

• Basically, the following applies: All medicines should be used during the first trimester of pregnancy under strict indication and under medical supervision.
• Avoid using Octenisept wound disinfectant solution (pack size: 100 ml) in the eye. In case of accidental eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
