1. What are RekaWan® film-coated tablets 1000 mg and what are you used for?

Rekawan® film-coated tablets 1000 mg are a potassium mineral preparation. They are used for potassium substitution with pronounced potassium deficiency (potassium blood levels below 3.2 mmol / l), especially with the simultaneous metabolic inhibitory of blood (metabolic alkalosis).

2. What should you do before taking Rekawan® film-coated tablets 1000 MG Note?

RekaWan® film-coated tablets 1000 mg may not be taken,

• if they are allergic to potassium chloride or one of the other ingredients of this medicinal product referred to in section 6.
• for diseases that are often associated with an increased potassium blood mirror:
  • States with reducing the total body water (Dehy-dratation),
  • restricted renal function,
  • insufficient production of adrenal hormones (Addison's disease),
  • family periodic paralysis with increased potassium blood mirror (Adynamia episodica hereditaria),
  • Licheleilanemia.

Warnings and Precautions:
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking RekaWan® film-coated tablets 1000 mg. Before use, the electrolyte and acid-based status, the cardiac rhythm and especially in older patients control the renal function. These controls should initially be carried out in shorter, later in longer intervals during the application of Rekawan® film-coated tablets 1000 mg. Rekawan® film-coated tablets 1000 mg can be taken without concerns about other food and non-alcoholic beverages.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you suspect to be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Notes on harmful effects of potassium chloride during pregnancy and in the lactation are not known.

There are no special precautions required.

3. How are RekaWan® film-coated tablets take 1000 mg?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or just according to the consultation made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

In principle, the dosage depends on the deficit to be replaced, generally 50-100 mmol of potassium per day sufficient. No more than 100-150 mmol of potassium per day should be given. The daily dose should be divided into oral individual doses of not more than 20 mmol.

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dosage in adults is:
3-4 times a day 1 tablet with changed drug release I - 3-4 times 13.4 mmol potassium) after meals and take only to full stomach. RekaWan® film-coated tablets 1000 mg must be opened with abundant fluid. The intake should not be available. Symptoms of hyperkalemia can cause heart rhythmias (Bradycardia), blood pressure drop (hypotension), disproportions on the skin (paresthesia), confusion states, muscle healing apparatus (paralyzes) and u. Cycle failure and circulatory failure occur.

If you forget to take Rekawan® film-coated tablets 1000 mg:
Do not take the double amount when you forget the previous taking. Continue with the recommended dosage scheme. If you have further questions about taking this medicine, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

4. Which side effects are possible?

Like all medicines, this medicine can also have side effects, but they do not have to occur each other. Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract in treatment with Rekawan® Film tablets 1000 mg can come to nausea, vomiting, belching, heartburn, flatulence, body pain and diarrhea. 5. How to keep RekaWan'1 film-coated tablets 1000 mg?

Keep this medicine inaccessible to children. You may not use this medicine after the expiry date specified on the label and the outer carton to "usable until". The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month. This medicinal product does not require special storage conditions. The usability time after breaking of the bottle is 6 months.
