Application in adults and children from 6 years of active ingredient: Bisacodyl

Read the entire leaflet carefully because it contains important information for you.
This medicine is available without prescription. However, to achieve the best possible treatment success, Tirgon must be taken correctly.

1. What is Tirgon and what is it used for?

Tirgon belongs to the group of stimulating laxatives. Tirgon is taken at the short term in constipation as well as in diseases that require a facilitated bowel movement.

2. What do you need to consider before taking Tirgon?

Tirgon must not be taken,

• if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to bisacodyl or any of the other ingredients of Tirgon.
• with significant loss of water.
• in intestinal closure.
• from children under 6 years.
• in the lactation.

Constipation, combined with other complaints such as abdominal pain, vomiting and fever, can sign a serious illness (Colon closure, acute inflammation in the abdominal area). For such complaints, you should not take Tirgon or other medicines and seek medical advice immediately.
Special care when taking Tirgon is required,

• if you have diseases associated with faults of the water and electrolyte balance (eg highly limited kidney function). In this case, you can only take Tirgon under medical control.
• if you already suffer from constipation problems for a long time. You should advise and examine your doctor before starting treatment with Tirgon. Chronic disturbances or impairments of bowel movement may be signs of a serious disease.

Taking Tirgon with other medicines:
Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you take / use other medicines or recently taken / applied, even if it is non-prescription medicines.

Bisacodyl can use the potassium loss due to other medicinal products (e.g. Reinforcing urinary mediums). At the same time, if they take other medicines that cause potassium loss, eg. 3. How to take Tirgon?

Always take Tirgon exactly as directed in this leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. The intake is best in the evening or in the morning sober with plenty of fluid. The intake in the evening leads after about 10 hours to the intestinal emptying. The morning sober intake leads to about 6 Hours for the intestinal emptying. Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:

1 tablet (equivalent to 5 mg bisacodyl)

Adults, adolescents and children over 10 years (from 30 kg):
1-2 tablets (corresponding to 5 - 10 mg bisacodyl)

The dose should not exceed 0.3 mg bisacodyl per kilogram of body mass.

Duration of application:
Prolonged use of Tirgon should not be done without medical advice. Any use beyond a short-duration application taking Tirgon leads to intestinal sluggishness.

4. Which side effects are possible?

This can lead to malfunctions of cardiac function and muscle weakness, especially with simultaneous use of urinary agents and adrenal hormone. The sensitivity to heart glycosides is strengthened.

5. How to keep Tirgon?

Store drug out of reach of children. You may not use the medicinal product after the expiry date specified on the outer carton and throughput packaging. The expiration date refers to the last day of the month.

Storage conditions:
Do not store more than 25 ° C.
